Nepal Through a LensBrenda Hutchinson will stage a multi-media presentation drawn from her inspirational experiences in Nepal. She will share with us the beauty of the Himalayan landscapes, the diversity of Nepalese cultures and geography, and the architecture of the medieval cities in the Kathmandu Valley. Her photographs are selected from a collection taken on seven treks from 2002-2009 in the Everest, Annapurna Circuit, Langtang, and Chitwan National Parks. Brenda Hutchinson retired to Boulder in 2001 after teaching in the Massachusetts public school system as an elementary teacher for 37 years. Within a few months of arriving, she joined a group preparing to trek in Nepal the following October. That was the beginning of her obsession with Nepal adventures. In 2006, she became a group leader for Guides for All Seasons based in Kathmandu. Since 2002, she has trekked in Nepal seven times where she also finds wonderful opportunities to enjoy her hobby of photography. Brenda is a member of the University Women’s Club and is co-chair of the Music Group. |
