History of UWC Scholarships

In 1982, the University Women’s Club established a scholarship fund to help nontraditional students achieve their educational goals.

These scholarships are designed to encourage aspiring CU-Boulder students who might not otherwise have the opportunity to continue their studies. Because they are older, recipients often face the difficult task of combining study with family and job responsibilities.

Funds come from individual donations. As of 2010, more than $111,000 has been awarded to 89 CU-Boulder students.

Scholarship winners are honored guests at the University Women’s Club annual Spring Scholarship Luncheon.
